Enscribe
Enscribe is the direct manager mode for teams that want the shortest setup path.
In this mode, your namespace manager access is transferred to an Enscribe-managed address instead of a Safe. This gives the workspace a direct control path for supported ENS operations.
When to use Enscribe
Choose Enscribe when:
- your team wants to get started quickly,
- you do not need multisig approvals for each write,
- one shared managed setup is enough for the namespace, or
- you want a simpler onboarding path than Safe.
How Enscribe works in onboarding
During namespace onboarding:
- You choose Enscribe as the manager mode.
- Enscribe shows the target manager address it will use.
- The connected wallet transfers ENS manager control to that address.
- Once the transfer is complete, the namespace is ready for record and subname management in the workspace.
After setup, your team can use Enscribe to stage changes, review them, and execute namespace updates from the platform.
What this mode is good at
Enscribe is the most direct way to make a namespace operational inside the workspace.
It is a good fit when speed and simplicity matter more than signer-by-signer approval. Teams can still work together inside the organization, but the manager control model is more direct than the Safe mode.
Tradeoffs
This mode does not add a Safe approval layer around each namespace write.
If your team needs shared signer approval for operational or governance reasons, use Safe instead.
