SSV Network has adopted ENS-based naming across its smart contract infrastructure as part of Contract Naming Season.

SSV is a leading implementation of Distributed Validator Technology on Ethereum. Its protocol distributes validator keys across multiple independent operators to reduce single points of failure in staking. With more than 7.5 million ETH secured and roughly 19 percent of Ethereum validators running through its infrastructure, SSV is one of the more important pieces of staking infrastructure on the network.

When we published our first Contract Naming Season update in January, the focus was on momentum and what had been achieved. Teams were beginning to name contracts, tooling had improved, and the first public protocol announcements had started to appear.

At that stage, the awards themselves were still ahead of us.

We have now reached a more concrete milestone. The first batch of ENS Contract Naming Season awards has been distributed, and with two months still to go before the program closes at the end of April, we now have a clearer picture of how participation is taking shape.

The ENS DAO has officially passed a proposal launching ENS Contract Naming Season — a new community initiative to bring names, identity, and trust to smart contracts across Ethereum.

What is Contract Naming Season?

Contract Naming Season is a collaborative effort between the ENS DAO, Enscribe and others to help projects name their smart contracts using ENS names, turning unreadable hexadecimal addresses into human-readable, trustworthy names.
